In addition to the many intellectual, cultural, and social opportunities at the Club, some special programs are also offered.

Philanthropy

The University Club offers members the opportunity of supporting the Club and the community by making contributions to the funds of the Club for the benefit of local organizations and colleges and universities.

Grants are given each year to nonprofit groups in Winter Park and surrounding areas. In a recent year, $5,047 was presented to local not-for-profit groups.

Scholarships are awarded to deserving students at the University of Central Florida, Rollins College, Valencia Community College, and Seminole State College. $10,961 in scholarship funds were given to those institutions.

A fund-raising event is usually held once a year at the Club to benefit these philanthropies. Specific endowments also contribute to funding these worthy projects.

Art Exhibits

Exhibits of works by local artists are displayed on the walls of the Gallery and Main Hall of the Club. These exhibits are changed every month, and artists are usually booked twelve to eighteen months in advance.

Ths program has been active for seven years, and the works of approximately 200 local artists have been displayed. Occasionally, a group of artists will exhibit together.

The artists usually hold a reception on a Sunday afternoon of the exhibit month to introduce their work. The exhibit and reception are open to the public at no charge.
